It's been a year since my last review. I have been back to Blue Hook many times since and I now "get it." The food and the atmosphere is so delightful that it took me a cool minute to realize the relaxed service is part of this restaurant's allure. I found I now walk thru the door and I relax. Just relax! It's wonderful! Just listen to the music and enjoy!!

Family loved the food. First time for my kids to try crawlfish. Great server as well. This was our first time there and we had questions. She took the time to explain and answer.

Not sure why others rated this place so poorly - I cannot wait to go back! I took my two boys here early one evening and had a great time! We knew it was gonna be good when the waiter lined our table with paper. Oh yeah! We splurged and orders crab legs, shrimp, and lobster. So glad we did as the food was incredible!! Try ordering the hush puppies as an appetizer - simply schrum-tralescent! Service was great and the place had a cool ambiance. You know it was good when MY kids tell me they want to go back!

The atmosphere was great, they had a live duo folk band playing great folk music. Our server Chyna was great, she was friendly and very professional. She made sure we had everything we needed and brought us a taste of the voodoo sauce so we could try it to see if we liked it and we did. We had the Cajun fried rice with sausage.

Food was great. Service was EXCEPTIONAL! I got 1/2 lb shrimp & 1/2 lb sausage with a appetizer of jalapeno crab sticks (crab and cream cheese stuffed into a jalapeno and fried) sauce on the side, my sister got the same, mom got the 1 lb shrimp...and non alcoholic beverages are included with your meal! Great value for the price!!! Update: 6/19/22 Took my dad for Fathers day...excellent food, grwat service!

This was our third visit to Blue Hook and our second having Aaron as our server. I cannot even begin to express what a wonderful server he is. He is polite, courteous, attentive, and truly cares about the guest experience. We have a special needs son, and servers are often intimidated by that, he was not - thank you! The combination of his service and the amazing food makes Blue Hook our favorite place to go in Wichita. Kudos to the ownership and management for employing such wonderful people and producing such unforgettable cuisine! Now, if I could only get the recipe for that "All In" sauce, life would be perfect!

This was our first time ever to experience broil anything.... We took the whole fam. We came with open expectations. Let me say you did not disappoint. We love seafood and could eat it everyday. The portions were huge. ( no wonder you out of alot of items). The flavors were great. And our waitress was on point. For being under staffed. I really couldn't tell. The whole fam agreed we are doing blue hook once a month. Truly a great time.

Located in the old Granit city building. Service was a bit slow. Waited at the front door several minutes before anyone addressed us. Once we where seated service picked up a little. Ordered a shrimp broil, oysters (amazing with blue anchor oil) and the Cajun fried rice (kind of dry added blue anchor oil much better). The broil was amazing! Recommend adding an extra ear of corn and potato for each person sharing in the feast. Quality of food very good! Service can use some work.
